PLANIGRAPH × SCHANZ · Angled Roller Shutters
Sun shading that follows the shape of your window.
Gable, triangular, trapezoidal, arched or sloping across the full width: SCHANZ Studio Star was developed for window shapes where conventional roller shutters reach their design limitations.
SCHANZ Angled Roller Shutters
Shape, direction of travel and lighting effect go hand in hand.
Studio Star is designed for pointed, angled, semicircular, round and rectangular windows. Depending on the window shape, the roller shutter can travel from bottom to top or from top to bottom.
PLANIGRAPH confirms the geometry, installation space, shutter box position, guides, profile choice, colour and operation before ordering.

SCHANZ Systems
Systems for different geometries.
Studio Star, Select Profil and special configurations meet different requirements. The window shape, direction of travel and desired lighting effect determine the right configuration.

SCHANZ
Studio Star
Angled roller shutters for creative window shapes, acute or obtuse angles, slopes and arches; available with electric or manual operation, depending on the project.

SCHANZ
Select Profil
Perforated light-admitting slats for controlled daylight with the shutter closed. Voll-Profil and Select Profil can be combined to suit the project.

SCHANZ Special Configuration
Studio Star SO
For windows that slope across their full width. The roller shutter box runs parallel to the roofline; SCHANZ specifies inclinations from 10° to 45° for this configuration.

Shapes & Direction of Travel
The window shape determines how the roller shutter travels.
SCHANZ shows basic shapes with both upward and downward travel. The most suitable direction from a technical perspective depends primarily on the window geometry.
Triangular, trapezoidal, gable, circular and arched shapes
asymmetrical shapes can be combined with straight-sided window sections

Light levels
Voll-Profil or Select Profil.
The solid Voll-Profil is designed for substantial room darkening. The perforated Select Profil lets diffused daylight into the room, combining solar and heat protection with a brighter interior.
Voll-Profil: the focus is on closing the shutter and darkening the room
Select Profil: light-admitting slats for controlled daylight
both profile types can be combined to suit the project
for windows, SCHANZ typically recommends using a Select light-admitting slat for every third to fourth slat

Colours
A special shape does not mean a special colour.
The roller shutter curtain has a silver anodised finish as standard. SCHANZ lists Anthracite Pearl Mica, Black Brown, Traffic White and White Aluminium as standard colours for the box, cover panels and guide rails.
special colours to RAL, NCS or DB specifications on request
IGP's Duraxal colour range for shades resembling anodised finishes
colour coordination with window frames, roof and façade
Technology
The box, guides and controls are included in the planning.
Studio Star can be positioned at different heights. SCHANZ provides documentation on various box sizes, installation examples and mounting configurations; for retrofit projects, the system can be added without major structural alterations, depending on the installation conditions.

PLANIGRAPH planning
First, establish the geometry. Then build.
For special shapes, accurate measurements and technical assessment are crucial. PLANIGRAPH coordinates the window shape, angles, installation space, shutter box position, direction of travel, profile, colour, drive system and façade connections.
01
Site measurements
Precisely measure the window shape, angles and available installation space.
02
Integration
Match the shutter box, guides, profile and colour to the window and façade.

A photo or plan is enough for an initial assessment.
Send us details of the window shape, approximate dimensions and a photo of the installation area. We will assess which Studio-Star version, profile and installation orientation are suitable.
