Outdoor · Awnings
Cassette awnings. Shade that retracts elegantly.
For a terrace or balcony with a light, uncluttered look, the cassette protects the fabric and mechanism – and almost disappears from view once the sun moves on.
What defines this solution
Neat when retracted. Generous when extended.
Cassette awnings combine architectural simplicity with flexible sun protection. When retracted, the fabric and mechanism are protected inside the cassette. When extended, they create a new outdoor living space in just a few seconds.

The benefits for you
More than a product. A difference in everyday life.
Enclosed cassette
When retracted, the fabric and mechanism are protected from dirt and the elements.
Architecture
Round, angular or cubic cassette shapes can be coordinated with the façade, window alignments and colours.
Convenience
Depending on the model, a motor, radio remote control, sensors, lighting and a drop-down valance can be added.
Fabric & colour
Patterns, texture and frame colour determine whether the awning makes a deliberate statement or blends discreetly into the façade.
The right direction
Which cassette awning is right for your terrace?
The model name is not the first consideration – the area, architecture, projection and desired comfort come first.

PLANIGRAPH expertise
Compare systems. Plan the right solution.
If you use your awning every day, you will notice the difference most in how it operates: a quiet motor, radio remote control, a sun sensor and optional lighting provide more than just sun protection – they bring real comfort to your outdoor space.
The system names make it easier to find your way around, including later in the manufacturer's catalogue. The technically suitable version depends on the installation conditions, intended use, size, exposure to wind and desired features.
Design & comfort
Fabric, lighting and controls turn the area beneath the awning into a living space.
Fabric & design
Light-coloured fabrics create an airy feel, while darker shades provide stronger contrasts. We coordinate the fabric design and frame colour with your façade, windows and terrace.
Valance & low sun
A drop-down valance can provide additional glare protection and privacy when the sun is low.
Motors & radio control
For everyday use, motorisation and radio control are recommended; sensors can be added to the control system.
Light
Integrated or additional lighting allows you to enjoy your terrace into the evening.
More perspectives
Materials, architecture and use change the overall effect.
Different installation settings show how the solution looks on a terrace, in a garden or alongside a glazed surface, and which details matter when planning and designing it.

Planning
So the solution works just as it should once installed.
For outdoor products, architecture, weather, fixings and operation must all be considered together. We clarify these points before providing a quotation.

The questions that really matter before you decide.
When is a cassette awning a better choice than an open folding-arm awning?
When the fabric and mechanism need extra protection when retracted and you prefer a fully enclosed appearance.
Can an existing awning be motorised?
That depends on the roller tube, bearings, available space and existing electrical supply. That is precisely why we inspect the awning on site.
Do I need a wind or sun sensor?
Not necessarily. However, sensors are often useful in exposed locations or when automatic operation is used regularly.
