Insect screens · Windows

Fresh air. Clear views. Perfectly fitted protection.

From virtually invisible removable frame screens to retractable or motorised screens: PLANIGRAPH selects the right NEHER design to suit your window, roller shutter, usage, shape and preferred appearance.

Window solution

As little frame as possible. As much functionality as needed.

For windows, the aim is usually a slim, discreet design. At the same time, the handle, roller shutter and window sash must remain fully functional, and cleaning must still be possible.

Depending on the installation conditions, removable frame screens, roller screens or hinged and two-way hinged window screens may be suitable. Bespoke solutions are also available for triangular, trapezoidal, arched and other specially shaped windows. Frame colours and mesh are chosen to complement the window and façade.

Which solution suits your window?

Removable insect screen frames for windows

01 · discreet & removable

Removable frame screen

The classic solution for windows that are mainly opened for ventilation. The frame fits precisely over the opening, can be removed in a few simple steps and does not affect the operation of either the window or the roller shutter.

  • Very slim appearance
  • usually fitted to the window without drilling
  • easy to remove and clean
  • also available with pollen-filtering or specialist mesh
Retractable insect screens for windows

02 · rolls away when needed

Retractable insect screen

If you want the screen to disappear completely when not needed, a retractable screen is the flexible option. The mesh runs in guides and retracts into a protective cassette when not in use.

  • unobstructed opening when not in use
  • easy operation
  • neat, compact cassette
  • suitable for frequent changes in use
Hinged and double-swing insect screens for windows

03 · access to the outside

Hinged and swing-through window screens

For windows where you frequently need to reach outside – for example, to tend herbs or window boxes, or to operate shutters. The insect screen can be opened and then securely closed again.

  • for frequent access to the outside
  • robust fittings and handles
  • wide opening angle possible
  • also suitable for unusual window configurations
Made-to-measure insect screens for special shapes

04 · non-rectangular

Special shapes

Triangular, trapezoidal, arched or other unusual shapes need not rule out an insect screen. The frame is designed to fit the actual opening and made to measure.

  • Triangular and trapezoidal shapes
  • Arched and custom shapes
  • Measurements taken at the actual opening
  • Choose a profile and mesh to suit the shape
Motorised roller insect screen

05 · hard to reach

Electric roller screen

For large or hard-to-reach openings, a motorised roller insect screen can make operation much more convenient. Electrical connections and controls are planned from the outset.

  • convenient motorised operation
  • for selected large openings
  • no need to reach the roller screen manually
  • controls suited to the installation
Frame colours for insect screen systems

06 · visually integrated

Frame colours & finish

Insect screens should do their job without looking like an out-of-place addition. That is why the frame colour is matched as closely as possible to the windows, roller shutter guide rails or façade.

  • standard window and façade colours
  • custom colours available depending on the system
  • discreet integration with existing features
  • choose the colour during the site measurement

Fitting to the window

Not all fixed-frame insect screens are the same.

The profile geometry, roller shutter guide rails, seal and available rebate depth determine how the screen is secured. The installation method is therefore decided during the site measurement, along with the mesh and frame colour.

01

Spring-loaded angled fixing tabs

The removable screen frame hooks onto the window frame. A typical solution that can be removed quickly, provided the profile and available space are suitable.

02

Rigid angled brackets

Precisely positioned hook-on attachment without drilling into the window or masonry. The exact bracket geometry is matched to the window rebate.

03

Spring-loaded pins

A space-saving fixing for installations where angled brackets are not suitable. The fixing locations and drilling points are precisely defined.

04

Guides / mounting frame

Depending on their design, roller screens and movable solutions require guide rails, a cassette or a mounting frame. The roller shutter and window operation are also checked.

Important: „No drilling“ is possible with many removable screen frames, but cannot be guaranteed in every case. The actual window construction is the deciding factor.

Transpatec & specialist mesh

Keep your view clear.

Light, air and an unobstructed view matter in living spaces. Depending on how the room is used, pollen protection or more robust mesh may also be useful. The mesh type is therefore selected together with the screen design.

Choose mesh to suit the room and its use

Consider pollen protection for allergy sufferers from the outset

Match the frame colour to the windows and façade

Plan for the roller shutter, window handle and access for cleaning
