Insect screens · Mesh
The mesh determines visibility, airflow and additional protection.
Not every mesh needs to offer the same features. PLANIGRAPH selects the mesh for transparency, pollen protection or durability – to suit the room, opening and intended use.

Mesh range
As much protection as needed. As unobtrusive as possible.
For most living spaces, maximum visibility and airflow are key. For allergy sufferers, households with pets or areas subject to heavy use, priorities change. That is why the mesh is selected to suit its intended use, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Mesh types explained
Which additional benefit matters?

01 · maximum transparency
Transpatec
This particularly fine mesh is designed for excellent visibility and high airflow. It is suitable wherever insect screens need to be as visually unobtrusive as possible.
- excellent visibility
- high airflow
- fine, unobtrusive appearance
- particularly attractive for windows and doors

02 · allergy sufferers
Pollen protection
Finer specialist meshes can also keep out a high proportion of pollen. The key is to strike a balance between pollen protection, airflow and the desired level of transparency.
- for bedrooms and living areas
- combined insect and pollen protection
- consider early when choosing the system
- allow for regular cleaning

03 · Pets & heavy use
Durable meshes
More durable meshes are available for doors in households with dogs or cats, as well as for other areas subject to heavy use. They are chosen when resistance to physical wear and tear matters more than maximum visual unobtrusiveness.
- greater resistance to physical wear and tear
- for frequently used doors
- for households with cats or dogs
- can be combined with pet flaps

04 · Light wells & specialist applications
Stainless steel & specialist meshes
In light wells, durability, weather resistance and protection against small animals are more important than maximum transparency. Different meshes are therefore used here than for windows in living areas.
- durable for light wells
- protection against insects and small animals
- weather-resistant
- suited to the specific system design
Decision
Do not automatically choose the „strongest“ mesh.
Greater protection can mean reduced visibility or airflow. That is why the mesh is chosen to suit your specific needs – not according to a general ranking.
Prioritise visibility and natural light
Take allergies and pollen protection into account
Allow for pets and mechanical stress
Consider cleaning and ease of replacement
Fabric selection
You can see and feel the difference.
During the consultation and site survey, we select the mesh type based on visibility, pollen levels, pets and how it will be used.
