What makes Pivot special?
Not simply bigger. Fundamentally different.
A conventional front door swings open on hinges at the side. A pivot door rotates around a vertical axis within the door leaf. It is this movement that transforms the impression of the entire entrance.
The door leaf has a calmer, more expansive and almost sculptural presence. Outside, it becomes part of the façade; inside, it creates an exceptional transition between architecture and living space.

Proportions beyond the standard door.
Depending on the configuration, door leaves up to approximately 2.40 m wide and 6.00 m high are possible.

Material, colour, lighting, handle and opening movement are planned together with the façade.
The distinctive movement
The door becomes a gesture of welcome.
A pivot door is not just about its surface when closed. The opening movement itself is also part of the design.
The pivot axis is not at the outer edge of the door leaf. As the door opens, one part therefore moves outwards and another inwards. This creates the characteristic pivot effect, particularly with wide and tall doors.
Important for planning: the door’s range of movement needs to be part of the interior and façade design from the outset. PLANIGRAPH therefore considers the floor build-up, interior space, furniture layout, façade connections and actual use together.

Materials take on an entirely different presence on large door surfaces. Sintered stone, aluminium, distinctive colours and high-quality metal finishes become part of the façade.
Whether calm and monolithic, warm and welcoming or deliberately contrasting, the effect comes from the interplay between the door leaf, handle, lighting and architecture.

Gold, bronze, copper, black or stainless steel: PVD-finished handles and hardware details give a large-format pivot door a truly personal signature.
